Business Development Manager MAFI New Industries

MAFI is divided into two business areas. MSS which works directly towards telecom carriers and telecom vendors and MIS which works towards telecom OEM’s. Now we want to expand outside the telecom industry and looking for New Industries.

Responsibilities

As a Business Development Manager your main responsibilities will be to identify new industries, opportunities and solutions where our product can be used. You will also:

  • Understand the customers’ needs today and visualize how we can be a part of their growth
  • Own the product portfolio within MNI (MAFI New Industries)
  • Prepare decision basis for new development
  • Put up a strategy for marketing new products
  • Coordinate with R&D, SC, Market and Sales
  • Responsible for annual price negotiations

 

Key Qualifications

  • As a Business Develop Manager you need to be able to understand technical contexts and be responsive to customer needs in the short and long term
  • Education: Bachelor/Master of Business Administration, Science or similar
  • 3+ years of business development/sales and operational excellence knowledge required in leadership and sales related positions
  • Preferred to have experience working with sales towards larger companies.
  • Clear interest in technology with the connection to sales and business
  • Relevant experience of delivery and project management towards large customers
  • Experience working in a direct customer-facing role with related pre-sales responsibilities is required
  • Excellent communication skills, teamplayer-attitude and ability to build a trustworthy and lasting relationship with Customer Units and other internal organizations is necessary for this position
  • Problemsolving & strategic thinking
  • Solid negotiation & argumentation skills
  • Expert business understanding and strong business acumen
  • Familiar with Agile ways of working  

The Opportunity

The global team will support you by successfully driving key sales and commercial initiatives across various business and customer units in a collaborative manner. The ideal candidate for this role will lead the change in the region. The appointed person will be accountable for rolling out adoption strategies of working, process and enabling platforms (based on change impact analysis).

 

Work Environment

  • Mora, Sweden or the employee will be based from home
  • Ability to travel, as required
