Ejendals is looking for
Product Portfolio Manager – Chemical Gloves
Do you want to combine chemical expertise with commercial portfolio development and help sales teams succeed in a segment with significant growth potential?
Why you should choose Ejendals
As Product Portfolio Manager for Chemical Gloves, you will take a key role in shaping and strengthening Ejendals portfolio of chemical gloves. You will manage and develop the existing assortment, identify portfolio gaps and new opportunities, and turn technical product properties into clear customer value, sales arguments and commercial strategies.
You will join an international and innovation-driven company with strong product brands and a clear purpose: protecting hands and feet in demanding working environments. The role offers broad cross-functional collaboration, commercial influence and the opportunity to help increase sales in a strategically important product segment.
We offer you
• Overall responsibility for a strategically important chemical protection glove portfolio
• An influential role at the intersection of product management, chemistry, market insight and sales
• The opportunity to develop portfolio strategy, lifecycle management and long-term roadmaps
• Close collaboration with sales, marketing, product development, sourcing, supply chain, finance and external partners
• The opportunity to strengthen sales confidence through clear product positioning, tools and training
• An international working environment with strong brands and substantial growth ambitions
About the role
As Product Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for maintaining and developing a competitive, profitable and well-balanced product offering within chemical gloves. You will manage the products throughout their entire lifecycle and ensure that the portfolio meets customer expectations and supports sustainable growth.
• Lead portfolio development, lifecycle management and phase-in/phase-out planning
• Analyze markets, competitors, customer behavior and portfolio performance to identify gaps and opportunities
• Initiate and lead projects that optimize the portfolio and meet customer needs
• Translate chemical properties, application information and technical product data into compelling value propositions and sales arguments
• Develop go-to-market plans, launch materials and commercial support for sales and marketing teams
• Work proactively with market insights and long-term roadmaps
• Monitor sales, profitability, pricing and margins, and define actions with sales when performance deviates from plan
• Ensure high-quality product information for internal and external users
• Support product training for sales teams, customers and partners, together with the Chemical Expert
• Develop cross-functional processes, working methods and idea-management practices
You will work closely with the Conceptual Product Manager to align commercial objectives with product concepts and innovation priorities. You will also collaborate with a Chemical Expert, who provides specialist support in technically complex customer cases and contributes expertise concerning chemical protection and regulatory matters. You will own the commercial and strategic messaging, while technical training is shared with the Chemical Expert.
The role belongs to Product Line Gloves and reports to Team Manager Product Management, Carina Hemstrand. The product management team consists of three Product Managers based in Leksand. The position has no direct reports.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a commercially driven product management professional with a solid understanding of chemistry and the ability to connect technical knowledge, portfolio strategy, market insight and sales execution. Knowledge of organic chemistry is particularly valuable for understanding how glove materials react when exposed to different substances.
We believe you have:
• A university degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, organic chemistry or another relevant scientific or technical field, alternatively equivalent relevant experience
• Experience in product management and/or product development, preferably as a Product Portfolio Manager, Product Manager, Category Manager or in a comparable commercially focused role
• Knowledge of product positioning, product and application information, pricing and lifecycle management
• Experience of market and competitor analysis and of working closely with sales organizations
• Strong analytical capability and financial understanding, including profitability, business acumen, budgets and cost control
• Experience of leading cross-functional product or portfolio projects
• Good proficiency in Microsoft 365
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Swedish is highly advantageous
• A valid permit to work in Sweden
Experience from PPE, industrial manufacturing, protective gloves or the chemical industry is considered an advantage.
As a person, you are strategic, analytical and commercially oriented. You create stability and trust among key stakeholders, communicate complex information clearly and turn insight into concrete priorities and action. You are comfortable balancing long-term portfolio development with immediate commercial needs and can work effectively in a relatively small organization with broad individual responsibility.
Employment
This is a full-time position based in Leksand. While the role offers flexibility through a hybrid working model, regular on-site presence in Leksand is essential to successfully collaborate with colleagues and support the business.
Travel is expected approximately once a month, mainly within Europe, with occasional travel to Asia.
